Unstable Ice Cores, found in the Aurora Palace appear to be counterparts to the Stable Ice Core. They have a slightly deranged look, and the ice crystals surrounding them lurch and wobble in an inharmonious fashion.
They use melee attacks against enemies, and explode when killed. Blocks caught in the explosion are transformed into other blocks. Typically, blocks will turn into glass or stained clay roughly the color of the original block.
