Nestled in small clearings throughout the Twilight Forest, Hedge Mazes are a curious sight for new explorers in the dimension. Much like the ruined standing stones, monuments and other landmarks that dot the landscape, there has been endless speculation on why these mazes were built, but no answers have been found to date.
Hedge Mazes cover small clearings in the Twilight Forest. The Mazes are brightly-lit, and consist of twisting corridors made of Hedge blocks that lead to small open areas within the maze. Canopy Trees occasionally grow as posts within the hedge. Fireflies and Jack-o-lanterns light up the area.

Hedge blocks form the walls of a typical maze, with dense, prickly foliage to deter adventurers from simply chopping their way through the twisting corridors. Fireflies and Jack-o-Lanterns are common, helping to light up the maze in contrast to the dim light elsewhere. Canopy Trees have been sometimes seen in a maze, forming a kind of tall post in the hedge walls.
Each open area contains a Spawner block, 1-2 Chests, and 1-2 Jack-o-lanterns. The Spawners generate either Hostile Wolves, Swarm Spiders or Hedge Spiders. All of the Spawners operate under any light level, and mining through them with a pickaxe is the best way to stop them from spawning. The chests contain mostly food and other supplies, but you can occasionally find rare items.

The other main feature common to hedge mazes are the small open "rooms" within the maze. These have been found to always contain a magical spawner, as well as 1-2 chests and more Jack-o-Lanterns. Typically, they generate Hostile Wolves, Swarm Spiders or Hedge Spiders but unlike spawners found elsewhere, bright light does not prevent them from functioning. Destroying spawners within a hedge maze is therefore recommended so that one is not overrun with angry creatures.
Hedge Mazes are not affiliated with the Progression system, and can be freely explored. Hedge Mazes are one of the easier challenges in the Twilight Forest, and are a good way to stock up on food, supplies, or gain a few levels for enchanting.

Food and adventuring supplies such as Ladder and Arrow are the main rewards from hedge maze chests, but on occasion, a lucky adventurer has found a rare item unique to the Twilight Forest.

Hedge Mazes do not have magical protection over them, thus allowing free exploration. Seasoned adventurers agree that these mazes are one of the easier challenges in the Twilight Forest, and are a good way to stock up on food, supplies, or gain a few levels for enchanting.
