It may also be influenced by an outdated version of Forge. Whenever installing Forge, make sure it is the latest version and not the recommended version. Other inclusions of the mod, such as ConnectedTexturesMod (CTM) and JustEnoughItems (JEI) are not required, but using these dependencies requires an updated version.
