Unstable Ice Cores are hostile mobs that spawn naturally in the Aurora Palace and are a variant of the Stable Ice Core.

They peacefully float in place until they detect a player, and then aggressively rush towards them. Upon death, they expand and contract for a few seconds, then explode. The explosion destroys blocks in a small radius and transforms them into stained clay or glass of similar color to the block in a larger radius.
