Talk:Minoshroom

The mechanism by which the Minoshroom gained his "Back Shrooms" remains the subject of ongoing medical inquiry.

My personal theory is that the Minoshroom shares a symbiotic relationship with the fungus on its back and head. Since many fungi tend to have a sort of "networking system" via mycelium which allows them to communicate with one another and gain an understanding of their surroundings, it's possible that the mushrooms growing out of the Minoshroom give him a greater awareness of the anatomy of the labyrinth. This is further evidenced by the large growths of mushrooms throughout various hallways within the labyrinth; the growth is especially strong around the heart of the maze, suggesting that long-term exposure to such intense growths could propagate similar affects with the mushrooms to that of Cordyceps militaris. Maybe the Minoshroom was no different than the similar Minotaurs encamped throughout the labyrinth, until its coalescence with the fungus. Hopefully the matter is explored further!
