The Scepter of Fortification is a unique scepter which summons shields around the player or target entity. On using a Scepter of Fortification, a popping sound is made, and either the player or target entity is surrounded by 5 shields. These shields appear similar to the shields that surround the Lich's first phase. However, unlike the Twilight Lich's shields, these ones break on any damage received, with some exceptions to some damage sources such as drowning, falling, or void damage. Over time, these shields will break one by one, but can be restored after the Scepter of Fortification's cooldown is reached, which can be measured by the number of shields remaining if none are broken by damage. The Scepter of Fortification has a long cooldown time, meaning that a player won't have more than 5 shields at once if they were cast by the same scepter.
The Scepter of Fortification can be enchanted with Unbreaking and Mending. It can only be enchanted by applying enchanted books on an Anvil.
Crafting
The Scepter of Fortification holds 9 charges and can be recharged by placing an empty Scepter of Fortification and a Golden Apple in a crafting table.
