The Moonworm Queen is a strange green insect found as treasure in some Hollow Hill and Lich Tower chests. The Moonworm Queen is filled with Moonworm eggs, which will attach Moonworms to walls or almost any solid surface. By holding the button down like a bow, the Queen can be instructed to fire the Moonworms as a projectile, which will then stick to any available surface it lands on. It is also capable of firing Moonworms through a Dispenser when one is powered with a Moonworm Queen inside.
Obtaining[edit]
Large Hollow Hills and Lich Towers seem to be the main locations that adventurers have located the Moonworm Queen from, but it's unsure how many of them are out there.
Usage[edit]
The Moonworm Queen has 256 eggs, although launching Moonworms by hand or Dispenser will use up her supply twice as fast as placing them. The Queen can be rejuvenated when empty by feeding her 3 clusters of Torchberries in a crafting interface.
In versions past 1.17, this mechanic was changed. Each torchberry fed to the queen will now regenerate 64 durability. This means you will need a maximum of 4 torchberries to fill the queen from 0 to full.
