These blocks, despite having glowing runes on them, will not illuminate any dark place. Like all other Castle Bricks variants, Castle Rune Bricks will severely deplete the durability of a Pickaxe by 17 without the usage of the [[Mazebreaker]]. The colour of these bricks are purely aesthetic, though many of these Runes can be found in specific spots of the Final Castle.
