The Dark Towers of the Twilight Forest are made up of a strong, wooden block that is more reddish than typical wood planks. All types of Towerwood are completely immune to the effects of fire and cannot be burnt, and can act as normal Wooden Planks.
Variants
Towerwood Planks
Towerwood Planks is the primary form of Towerwood, obtained from stonecutting Darkwood Logs or mining it directly from the Dark Tower. This block is the most common of all Towerwood.
Stonecutting
Encased Towerwood Planks
Encased Towerwood Planks is a variant of Towerwood, obtained from stonecutting Darkwood Logs or Towerwood Planks, or mining it directly from the Dark Tower. It primarily outlines majority of the walls on the Dark Tower. This block, unlike the other Towerwood variants, is pale in comparison to the reddish wood. This block can be used to craft various Dark Tower devices, such as Encased Smokers and Encased Fire Jets.
Stonecutting
Cracked Towerwood Planks
Cracked Towerwood Planks is a variant of Towerwood found in the Dark Tower, obtained either through smelting or mining the block directly. This block has some slight flaws in the wooden planks, with slight cracks. Cracked Towerwood is mostly decorative in usage, but can be used as both fuel and various crafting recipes.
Smoker Smelting
Mossy Towerwood Planks
Mossy Towerwood Planks is a variant of Towerwood found in the Dark Tower. This block is strewn with mossy patches through the cracks and surface, appearing with very feint light-green lines. This block is mostly decorative, but can be used as both fuel and various crafting recipes.
Crafting
Infested Towerwood Planks
Infested Towerwood Planks is another variant of Towerwood found within the Dark Tower. Similar to the various Infested Stone Blocks, Infested Towerwood will spew out a Towerwood Borer when this block is broken or when the player provokes another Borer. There is no means to obtain this block, but it can always be found naturally in the Dark Tower.
Uses
Crafting
Towerwood can be used as a replacement for other plank variants, making Wooden Tools, Chests, Beds, and other wooden based items. They also come with unique crafting recipes as well.
Knightmetal Shield
Vanishing Blocks
Carminite Builder
Carminite Reactor
Reappearing Block
Furnace
Fuel
Towerwood can also be used to fuel any furnace, acting similar in regards to other plank variants despite their non-flammablity. All variants burn for 300 ticks or 15 seconds
