In some ways this biome is analogous to the {{mcw|Jungle}} in the Overworld, with bushes and other ground vegetation make it more difficult to navigate. Ferns outnumber any other type of ground cover in this biome, while the water is significantly darker than elsewhere in the forest. The common [[Twilight Forest Trees#Giant Oak Trees|Giant Oak Tree]] can be found as usual here, while [[Hollow Hill]]s and [[Naga Courtyard]]s may also be spotted nestled amongst the foliage.
The Dense Twilight Forest is unaffected by [[Progression]] and can be freely explored without having to defeat any bosses in the dimension.

The Dense Twilight Forest biome is hillier and more thickly forested than normal Twilight Forest biome. This biome has more vegetation than most other biomes in the Twilight Forest, including more trees and bushes. The water is significantly darker than elsewhere in the forest. The Robust Twilight Oak Tree can be found as usual here, while Hollow Hills, Naga Courtyards, and Lich Towers may also be spotted nestled amongst the foliage.

The Dense Twilight Forest is unaffected by Progression and can be freely explored without having to defeat any bosses in the dimension.
