'''Hedge''' is a type of leaf block that is the sole component in the walls and structure of a [[Hedge Maze]]. Hedge cannot be crafted and cannot be found in any other location. This leafy block seems designed as an obstacle. Hedge blocks damage all living creatures that walk on top of it. The only exceptions to this are Spiders, where the King Spider Jockey is the only spider jockey that can stand on this block without taking damage. Hedge will also deal damage to any adventurer who attempts to cut through it, possibly resulting in death if a player attempts to harvest it. Only a tool with the Silk Touch enchantment can yield a Hedge block.

Hedge is a type of leaf block and mainly comprises the Hedge Maze. This appears to resemble a dense bush, but behaves similarly to a cactus when attempting to break or walk over it. Occasionally, Hedges may appear to have rose buds, though they do not have any additional function outside of decorative purposes.

Hedge blocks will damage all living creatures that walk on top, walk through, or break the block, dealing 3 (HeartFull.pngHeartHalf.png) damage each time. As such, due to how long it can take to break a single Hedge block, it can be very deadly to harvest. All living entities that are related to Spiders such as Swarm Spiders and Hedge Spiders are immune to damage dealt by Hedges, and any entity that is riding a Spider. Dropped items will also not destroy when dropped onto a Hedge.

It is possible to break a Hedge block, but in order to harvest it, the Silk Touch enchantment is required.

Placing a Hedge into a Composter has a 30% chance of raising the compost level by 1.
