The Caves of the Twilight Forest twist through the roots and soil beneath the trees. More of the rock is covered in dirt blocks, making it slightly more difficult to find ore than in Overworld Caves. Unlike the Overworld, the lower layers of the Caves are not filled with lava, but with water, although lava lakes can still be found deeper underground.
Also unique to caves in the Twilight Forest are the appropriately-named Torchberry Plants, Root Strands and Roots anchoring the canopy trees above, and finally, the ore-bearing magical Liveroots, a key ingredient in creating Ironwood Ingots.
