Deadrock
Deadrock forms the main strata of rock in the Thornlands and Final Plateau. Apart from its darker colour, Deadrock looks mostly similar to regular stone, but is much, much tougher - even a pickaxe fashioned with diamonds takes time to break it apart, while a TNT explosion doesn't even make a scratch.
Deadrock is generally not found on the surface, with the cracked and weathered variants forming the top layers instead. Those who have taken the time to burrow into the rock have not found any dirt or gravel clusters, nor any veins of ore - from a miner's perspective, referring to it as a "dead" rock is an apt name indeed.
Weathered Deadrock forms the surface layer of the Final Plateau and Thornlands. More than likely, its smooth appearance is a result of the magical acid rain that swept over the Twilight Highlands. Found just beneath the surface of Weathered Deadrock, Cracked Deadrock is just as hard to mine despite its cracked and damaged appearance. Note that unlike stone, Cracked Deadrock does not result when standard Deadrock is mined, such is its unearthly toughness. The Crumble Horn is easily able to break down Deadrock into its cracked form.
