The Thornlands is a biome found between the Highlands and the Final Plateau. They have Deadrock instead of soil, with a thick tangle of Thorns growing. The thorns are basically impenetrable, and can only be destroyed by burning them with the Lamp of Cinders. Most of the time, structures will not generate here, but some Minor Structures such as Wells and even Druid Huts may be tangled in the Thorns.

Progression

If using the Progression system, the Thornlands and other Highlands biomes will be under a toxic rainstorm. Slaying the Ice Queen atop her Aurora Palace will lift the rainstorm.
